Delian is a tireless endurance athlete and passionate conservationist – the perfect mix to cross the desert as a Shark Rescue ambassador!
Born in Vancouver, Delian has lived around the world: from Borneo, British Columbia, France, Alaska, Oregon, Taiwan, Quebec and now Hong Kong.
Among her many adventures, she has ridden a motorcycle around India, trekked in the Himalayas, conducted archaeological surveys through the deserts of Oregon and Washington State, and helped to collect data on whales and dolphins in the Azores.
She spent much of her early childhood by the ocean in Borneo and British Columbia, and has always had a love and passion for the sea.
She grew up surrounded by the bounty of marine life: spectacular reef fish and manta rays in Borneo, and pods of killer whales, salmon, dolphins, seals and whales in British Columbia. Yet as the years have passed, she's witnessed the destruction of this marine life.
Her passion is to try to protect ocean health and diversity.

Delian has always been a runner and hiker with a love for the outdoors and testing her physical limits.
Delian participates in various endurance races around Hong Kong, and when she isn’t trapped behind her desk, you'll likely find her out on the hills or beaches of Hong Kong.

Dedicated, passionate and focused on protecting the oceans, Denvy is one of Shark Rescue’s most prized supporters.
Born in Singapore, Denvy spent her early years in Hong Kong. She then returned to Singapore, eventually returning once again to call Hong Kong home.
A devoted scuba-diver, Denvy has spent countless hours exploring under the surface and now over trail and track.
Very much at peace as she floats in the deep blue while admiring the marine life, the calm from diving is a powerful narcotic that always beckons.
Her passion for the oceans – and sharks in particular – brought her to Shark Rescue and to crossing the desert as a call to action for the world to follow.
Crossing the tough desert terrain in order to raise awareness of the plight of sharks is just one small way that Denvy hopes to ensure that sharks thrive and are respected by future generations.

A dedicated ocean and animal lover, she hopes her participation in the Gobi Desert March will raise awareness of the importance of sharks, while pushing her to the limit.
She proves that walking your talk will get you wherever you want to go, be it across the desert plains or swimming among the treasures of the deep blue.
